Jake Koenig
Midwest Habitat Coordinator
As the Midwest Habitat Coordinator, Jake provides technical assistance to landowners throughout the Midwest and central flyway states. His work focuses on supporting managers of private working lands and regional agricultural stakeholders to create, restore, and sustain pollinator habitat.
Jake was born and raised in a small town in Nebraska and enjoys working with landowners to balance agriculture operations and quality wildlife habitat. He attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, receiving a bachelor’s degree in Fisheries & Wildlife Biology, as well as a minor in Environmental Education. Jake has supported habitat projects on private lands for over 8 years. Most recently, Jake worked for Pheasants Forever Inc. as a Farm Bill Wildlife Biologist III in Nebraska.
Jake is an avid outdoorsman and thoroughly enjoys the companionship of his two dogs, Nova and Nyx. He is very passionate about habitat conservation.
