Thelma Redick
Chair
Thelma recently celebrated a 30-year career in conservation, conservation education, and non-profit management. Throughout her career, she honed experience developing networks among NGOs, community stakeholders, community stakeholders corporate conservationists and government partners. She served as Senior Director of Conservation Content and Partnerships for the Wildlife Habitat Council (through Dec 2019) where she organized and oversaw large conferences, assessed and measured project outcomes, and produced virtual learning content through WHC’s Conservation Academy. Thelma worked with corporate partners to generate site-based STEM projects to support State and National learning standards. She wrote and managed government-issued and foundation grants. In 2019, she was recognized for her leadership in “outstanding efforts for facilitating partnership” by the USDA/US Forest Service. She was recognized by the Pollinator Partnership for more than 15 years of service as a task force member to the North American Pollinator Protection Campaign. She holds an MS in Non-Profit Management. Thelma is passionate about environmental topics and native plants of the northeast, and using the environment as an integrated context for learning.
